Let me tell you, each pub has its charm and story. Some evenings, I found myself sipping on a crisp, dry cider in a quaint, historical pub, where the echoes of the past seemed to blend seamlessly with the lively chatter of the present. Other nights, I was dazzled by inventive cider blends in sleek, contemporary settings, where the buzz of the city felt right at our fingertips.

What’s fantastic about London’s cider pubs is the sheer variety – there’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of traditional, apple-rich ciders or adventurous, experimental blends, you’re in for a treat. And the food! Oh, the pairings I’ve savoured – from classic British cheese platters to moreish, gourmet snacks.

Let’s raise a glass to that! 🍻

☝️ How we rated the services below:
As avid cider enthusiasts, we have scoured through the cider pubs in London to create a list of criteria that distinguishes the best ones from the rest. Our discerning selectiveness ensures that only exceptional cider pubs make it onto our list.

  • Cider Selection: A great cider pub must offer an extensive range of ciders on tap and bottle. We look for diversity in flavour profiles, origins, and types of ciders available.
  • Atmosphere: The ambience should be conducive to enjoying a pint or two with friends or family. It should be cosy, and welcoming while maintaining traditional aesthetics.
  • Food Offerings: We believe that good food is essential to enhance one’s drinking experience. Hence we examine whether they provide complementary food options like cheeseboards or other snack-type dishes.
  • Knowledgeable Staff: A knowledgeable staff member can elevate your experience by suggesting pairing suggestions and offering information about the various types of ciders they serve.
  • Accessibility & Location: As London is known for its congestion so easy accessibility via public transport (or parking facilities) is essential too.
  • Music/Entertainment Options: Engaging entertainment separates a typical pub from being memorable and reminiscent of British comedy nights.

Upon entering this charming establishment located next to the Euston station, I was greeted with warm smiles from the lovely staff. Howl At The Moon

⭐ A Personal Take on Howl At The Moon:

Howl at the Moon is a Victorian Irish-themed pub nestled in one corner of Hoxton Street. It’s a rare gem that has survived the thoughtless erosion of history and community in an area where numerous public houses have been converted for alternative use or lie eerily dormant. Visiting this pub was quite an experience, and if you love great beer, good music, and friendly staff, then it should be on your list.

Upon entering Howl at the Moon, you’ll notice the green-painted walls that give a hint of Ireland. You’ll also find movie and pop art posters adorning the walls to add some character to this cozy bar. The clever use of space maximizes seating arrangements so there’s plenty of room to hang out with friends while enjoying your pint.

What stands out about Howl at The Moon is its support for local London breweries. Their diverse selection of beers promotes local businesses – which is always nice! I opted for Beavertown lager on my visit and wasn’t disappointed – it tasted great! Food is also available here if you’re feeling peckish. One thing I particularly loved is listening to traditional Irish music played by regular fixtures during weekends accompanied by friendly service from enthusiastic staff. What more could you want?

In summary, Howl At The Moon presents something for everyone: Great atmosphere with winding corridors packed full weekly events featuring live Irish tunes; excellent customer service; decently priced drinks selections including vegan choices as well as various food items are just sumptuous especially when enjoyed alongside friends over conversations throughout happy hour every weekday from 5pm-8pm). Overall, visiting Howl At The Moon was worth every penny- highly recommended!

👍 Our Reasons for Recommending:

  • Easy access from Hoxton station
  • Diverse selection of beers, locally brewed
  • Regular live Irish music events

⭐ Our Genuine Review of The Southampton Arms:

The Southampton Arms, oh boy! My recent visit to this charming pub was nothing short of phenomenal. As I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately enveloped me. The staff welcomed us with open arms and accommodated our doggies without any hesitation. We sat down for a meal with friends and were amazed by their exceptional level of service from their friendly team.

What can I say about the food? It was an absolute feast for my taste buds! I ordered liver (never been a fan), but this dish exceeded all expectations, so tender it melted in my mouth! In conclusion, if you’re looking for great food and drinks combined with fresh surroundings and top-notch customer service, then The Southampton Arms is definitely worth a visit! The London Cider House is a hidden gem in Borough Market. From the moment I walked up to the bar, I was greeted with a wide selection of ciders and friendly staff who were passionate about their craft. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy which made me feel right at home.

As someone who considers themselves a cider connoisseur, I can confidently say that this place has some of the tastiest ciders in all of London. The cider slushie blew my mind – it’s definitely something everyone needs to try! What really impressed me though was having the opportunity to taste seven different types from the tap before making any decisions on which ones to buy.

But what truly sets The London Cider House apart from other places is their attention to detail and customer service. They took time out of their busy day to provide recommendations based on my tastes and offered further exploration into new flavors and brands. It’s clear that they love what they do and take pride in providing an unforgettable experience for each customer.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for delicious cider, great conversation or just an overall good time in London then make sure you visit The London Cider House! It’s worth every penny spent, trust me – as someone who enjoys good drinks – you won’t regret it!

The Wenlock Arms

⭐ A Personal Take on The Wenlock Arms:

The Wenlock Arms is a gem of a pub, nestled on a quiet backstreet in Hoxton. Steeping foot inside feels like entering a time portal to the quintessential London Pub. The ambiance screams old-world charm, with horseshoe-shaped bar and weathered tables that have supported countless pints over years gone by. As you sit snugly in one of their leather sofa benches admiring the beautiful etched mirrors adorning the walls, it’s hard not to feel at home.

But let’s talk about the real highlight here—BEER! The Wenlock Arms boasts an eclectic selection of 10 cask & keg beers along with real ciders that cater for even the most discerning drinkers out there. And if beer isn’t your cup of tea (or pint), then they’ve got you covered with pies and toasties to munch on while you deliberate which ale to try next.

What sets this place apart though is undoubtedly its history and resilience shown through narrowly avoiding destruction due to developers’ greed but saved by ardent locals who cared deeply enough for their community institution just as much as its passionate Guv’nor do. So whether you’re seeking good company or a chilled drink amidst mesmerising decor, The Wenlock Arms will not disappoint!

The Miller

⭐ A Personal Take on The Miller:

The Miller, oh boy where do I even begin! If you’re in the mood for some lip-smacking burgers that melt in your mouth and make every bite count, look no further! The Miller burger is a must-try. This place easily makes it to my top 5 places to eat in London. The juicy patty coupled with perfect seasoning of crispy bacon and coca cola relish is simply unreal!

But wait there’s more – the Seaside cider will elevate your experience up several notches if you’re into your Cider. Not only food, but they also have good drink specials on different days of the week.

I came here on a Tuesday evening for the comedy upstairs & was not disappointed! Big fan of Hoopla Comedy club which takes place there regularly alongside other events.

Overall, great atmosphere at very reasonable prices given its prime location. The newbie bartender who took ages making my margarita aside (which btw tasted fantastic), I had an incredible time at The Miller and can’t wait to go back again soon!

Old Red Cow

⭐ Our Honest Opinion of Old Red Cow:

Oh, Old Red Cow! What a charming pub you are. There’s something about the warmth and coziness of this place that just makes me feel at home. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be a good night – and boy was I right! The ambiance is perfect; laid-back but elegant, with friendly staff who make you feel like an old friend.

But let’s talk about the star of the show: THE DRINKS. Alexander truly has some serious skills behind that bar. He offered up expert recommendations and created unique blends that were simply heavenly – each sip more delicious than the last. And if beer is your thing, there’s plenty on offer here too (though maybe not as “crafty” as they once had).

And don’t even get me started on their food – helloooo pig cheek croquettes! They have all sorts of scrumptious snacks so you can graze for hours without getting bored or feeling like you’re overspending on overpriced starters.

Overall, Old Red Cow definitely hits all my marks for quality drinks in a cozy atmosphere – sure to please anyone looking for a relaxed spot to hang out with friends or escape the city rush for a bit in style.

Brewmaster, oh Brewmaster! Let me tell you a tale of my experience at this hidden gem in the heart of London. With 1610+ reviews and a 4.1-star rating on Google, I was excited to see what all the fuss was about.

Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it felt inside – quite a rarity for any venue near Covent Garden. Even better, compared to many neighbouring pubs, Brewmaster is surprisingly affordable for its prime location just minutes away from the tube station.

My excitement only grew as we delved into our lunch menu – my wife and I enjoyed an incredible Bacon and Cheese Burger alongside one of their famous Steak and Ale Pies. It’s safe to say that every bite melted in our mouths like butter; flavoursome food cooked well!

It wasn’t just their food that won us over though- throughout our stay here we were greeted with impeccable service from friendly staff who checked back on us often enough without feeling obtrusive or pestering us all day.

Chequers Tavern

⭐ Our Genuine Review of Chequers Tavern:

Chequers Tavern: a cozy, traditional pub located in St. James’s that perfectly embodies the essence of what it means to have an authentic English Pub experience. This small city gem is ideal for anyone who enjoys sitting at the bar while sipping on delicious cask ales and engaging in fun conversations with other customers – all while being surrounded by charming old-fashioned decor.

One of the most unique features of Chequers Tavern is their working rope-drive dumb-waiter (Butler Lift) which adds an extra touch of charm to this already historic space. Additionally, they offer some interesting cask ales that are hard to come by anywhere else in London – making this place stand out among its competition. The efficient and friendly staff add to the overall vibe here as well.

The ambience is perfect for unwinding after a long day at work or even for a night out with friends. Despite wishing that the seating could have been more comfy, it was still an excellent spot for indulging in quality conversations while sipping some of the best beers I’ve ever tasted.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering tasters before ordering a pint which meant we could find our perfect match. Although their food service halted early when we arrived (due to app difficulties), it didn’t stop us from trying their wings – lip-smacking tasty! It’s no wonder why BrewDog Seven Dials has become our go-to spot every time we’re around.

What truly sets BrewDog Seven Dials apart is the huge sitting area available across three floors yet maintaining its homely vibe – making it feel as if you’re relaxing in your own living room but cooler due to all that funky beer art around you. Just watching other people pass by on Shaftesbury Avenue became entertainment itself as we made ourselves comfortable soaking up London life outside… truly nothing beats sipping one of their drinks under those pretty trees right? What Customers had to say:

Great beer, great place – felt chilled but could have been a bit more comfortable in terms of seating. Love the fact that you can ask for tasters of the beers to make sure your getting one you like….

They stop doing food at 10pm, which is a shame as we was sodding about trying to get app to work and missed it – perhaps another day!…
