Chisou Sushi and Izakaya, oh how I adore this restaurant! From the moment you step in, you are transported to Japan with its authentic decor. But let’s talk about the real star of show; their food is absolutely divine! The sashimi is cut into thick chunks and it literally melts on your tongue. As for sushi rolls, they are packed full of flavour with just the right amount of tanginess.

During my visit on a Tuesday evening, we were welcomed by friendly staff who made our experience so warm and wonderful. It was busy as befits any good London establishment but within minutes our private table was ready for us to enjoy tall glasses of sake paired perfectly with dessert.

What's more, -this may sound very trivial- but Chisou offer outdoor seating complete with blankets available when temperatures dip chilly at night time! Overall our hosts could not have been kinder or more inviting from start to finish.

Whether visiting for lunch or dinner date, team meals or even solo stop-bys(!), there's something special here everytime I go back that makes me feel like coming home all over again. Each dish is prepared masterfully with a touch simplicity & balance which then elevate every ingredient giving them unique heights… Not once has my meal failed to mesmerise me!

To conclude (and I really do often consider whether I will end up going running past Harrods before stopping at Chisou), everything about this spot feels meticulously preened; each detail carefully designed during construction – a true accolade which gets overlooked far too frequently because Everytime someone visits Chisou they all say exactly what I already know: It’s worth making an occasional fuss about!!!

👍 Our Reasons for Recommending:

  • Fresh and high-quality sushi
  • Warm, welcoming atmosphere and service
  • Good value for lunch sets & wines/sake options

Nippon Izakaya

⭐ A Personal Take on Nippon Izakaya:

Let me tell you about Nippon Izakaya – the hidden gem in North London that I stumbled upon while on a lunch date with my bestie. From the moment we walked through the door, we were mesmerized by its cool decor and vibe. It was like stepping into an authentic Japanese pub, complete with dark wood accents and geometric patterns adorning the walls.

But what really sealed the deal for us was their sushi selection. Oh boy, where do I begin?! The sashimi simply melted in our mouths – each fresh slice of sea bass and tuna left us wanting more. And don't even get me started on their sushi rolls! I tried everything from salmon to vegetable rolls (yes, veggie rolls can be just as tasty!) but it was those crispy salmon skins that kept me coming back for more.

The staff were fantastic too – super friendly and always ready to go above and beyond for you. And if you're not sure what to try next on the menu, they have great recommendations. Plus, if you're feeling adventurous like I was – give their sweet plum wine a go! Trust me when I say it will blow your mind… or at least tickle your tastebuds.

In summary, Nippon Izakaya is definitely worth visiting – whether you're looking for a place to enjoy some amazing food over good conversation with friends or impress someone special with your sushi knowledge (don't worry they have menus explaining what's what). So grab yourself a seat at this stylish spot where every bite is guaranteed to take your taste buds on an adventure they won't forget anytime soon!

Best Hot Dog Stands in London

Asakusa London is hands-down one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to! From the moment you step inside, you're instantly transported to Japan, as the decor and atmosphere are both authentic and homely. Despite not visiting for a while due to switching to a vegetarian diet, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options on offer. The noodles were divine (I tried them all!) but it was the Kaisen don that stole my heart with its fresh sashimi served over perfectly seasoned rice.

The only downside was that service could be slightly improved as we had to wait some time before our orders were taken – despite having made a reservation in advance. Fortunately, this minor hiccup didn't detract from what proved to be an unforgettable dining experience.

If you're looking for outstanding Japanese cuisine in London then look no further than Asakusa London. The food alone merits repeat visits but coupled with its charming old-fashioned decor and excellent location, it's easy to see why this restaurant has such a devoted following among diners near and far.

Tenshi

⭐ Our Genuine Review of Tenshi:

Tenshi is a hidden gem in the heart of London that I'm so grateful to have discovered! From the moment I walked inside, I was transported back to my travels in Japan. The decor and ambiance are both warm and inviting, with traditional Japanese elements blended seamlessly into the modern atmosphere. But what really impressed me was the authentic taste of their dishes – every bite felt like a trip down memory lane.

Although we visited on a weekend lunchtime when sushi/sashimi selection wasn't available, we opted for the bentos which were absolutely fantastic. The unagi version hit all the right notes, with each component bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. And let's not forget about their scrumptious tempura- it always holds a special place in my heart!

Despite some minor hiccups with service as they were quite busy at that time, nothing could take away from how exceptional our dining experience was. With prices being reasonable (£25/head), Tenshi has become one of my top recommendations for anyone looking for delicious Japanese cuisine in London.

Overall, Tenshi is an excellent restaurant serving up mouthwatering dishes that you won't find anywhere else nearby! If you're looking for top-quality food accompanied by impeccable service housed in an idyllic setting, then this spot should undoubtedly be your next stop!

Delicious authentic Japanese food! The interior of the restaurant was also particularly awesome as it reminded me of my trip to Japan from a few years back….

It was a real shame that the sushi/sashimi selection was not available for lunches on a weekend as that would have definitely notched it to a 5-star review….

Issho-Ni

⭐ Our Honest Opinion of Issho-Ni:

Issho-Ni is an absolute gem in the heart of Bethnal Green! From the moment I walked through its doors, I was struck by its modern and stylish decor. But it's not just aesthetics that make this place stand out – it's truly all about the food. Everything we had was incredibly delicious and flavourful; from the spicy prawn tempura to their signature Japanese Star drink, each dish had me saying “Wow!” with each bite. The sushi platter for two was a particular standout – perfectly crafted morsels that were both distinct in taste but also harmonious as a whole.

Another thing that really impressed me about Issho-Ni was their customer service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed passionate about us having a great dining experience. Even though they were busy on our visit (which speaks volumes), it didn't feel rushed or impersonal – rather, like we were being cared for as guests in someone's home.

Overall, Issho-Ni has earned my highest recommendation if you're looking for exceptional Japanese cuisine in London. Though slightly more expensive than some other options nearby, its quality makes up for any incremental price difference (and then some). This spot has quickly become my new favourite when eating out and I can't wait to return soon!
