For main course expectations were high though retained as one never knows how fickle gastronomy can sometimes be. Fortunately,I wasn't disappointed in any way! The chicken kebab dish was moist-tender-cooked to perfection while infused with spices that left an incredible depth of flavor in every bite.
To round out everything plus some sweetness from dessert,the Baklava sandwich hit all those sweet spots for me without being overly saccharine.

As soon as we walked through the door, we were welcomed with open arms by the staff and taken to our table in no time. It's crispy and thin texture paired perfectly with my starter – mashed eggplant with garlic.

Mahdi Restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of London that deserves all the attention it can get. From the moment I stepped into this cozy restaurant, I was blown away by its traditional decor and warm ambiance. The kind staff greeted us with open arms, making sure we felt comfortable and right at home.
The menu had plenty of options to choose from, and each dish looked as delicious as the next one. We ordered naan bread with various grilled dishes including my favorite, aubergine and lentils with rice – All so tasty! The portions were also generous which left me feeling extremely satisfied even after just one dish.
The Persian tea served in small pots was excellent too for sharing amongst our group; it had an earthy flavor that complemented perfectly with our food choices.
The whole experience was fantastic- top-notch food combined with service that made us feel welcome throughout our visit! And did I mention how downright affordable Mahdi's is? At £22 per person for mains plus dessert to share between three people – there’s really no excuse not to have visited yet!

As soon as I entered, the vibe was warm and inviting with tasteful decoration that made me feel at ease. The staff were professional yet friendly which added to the whole dining experience.
When it comes to food, Kish Persian restaurant did not disappoint! The mixed grill for two was generous in portion size but could have been more exciting when it came to flavoring the meat. However, the rice portions were so delicious and perfectly seasoned with saffron adding an extra layer of taste sensation.
Overall, visiting this place in North Maida Vale should be top of your list if you're looking for family-friendly atmosphere coupled with delicious Iranian cuisine. From fantastic homemade bread to yummy hummus & olives- everything tasted absolutely divine! “Sufi Restaurant – a hidden culinary gem that deserves to be discovered!” That is the first thing I thought upon stepping into this cozy and charming Middle Eastern restaurant. Located away from the noisy streets of Shepherd’s Bush, it immediately feels like home as soon as you enter its doors. The smells of spices and freshly baked bread wafting through the air only made my mouth water in anticipation for what was to come.
The friendly owner welcomed us with open arms and instantly put a smile on our faces. Their lamb shank was cooked to perfection, so tender it literally melted off the bone! And don't even get me started on their chicken barberry – truly an explosion of flavors in your mouth! Not only were their dishes authentic but also excellent value for money.
Their Persian tea is a must-try, served in traditional Persianware with a blend that's unique to them. Everything about Sufi Restaurant screams authenticity; from its decor down to their fresh buttery baklava desserts straight out of the oven!
