☝️ How we rated the services below:
As discerning vegetarians, we love exploring the options available to us in London’s thriving culinary scene. Here are the criteria that matter most when it comes to finding the best vegetarian restaurants:

  • Variety: We look for menus that offer a wide range of dishes with different ingredients and cooking styles. This ensures that there’s something for every mood and palate.
  • Quality: Just because a restaurant serves only vegetarian food doesn’t mean they can slack on taste or presentation. We expect high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation.
  • Creativity: Vegetarian cuisine has come a long way since just being an afterthought on menus. We want to see creativity in flavours, techniques, and presentation, whether it’s through fusion fare or reinventing classic recipes.
  • Ambience: A great meal isn’t just about what you put into your mouth but also where you enjoy it. From cosy cafés to upscale dining rooms, we value an atmosphere that complements our meal experience.
  • Value: Perhaps most importantly, we want bang for our buck (whether splashing out or budget). Great vegetarian restaurants should offer good portions at reasonable prices without sacrificing quality or creativity.
  • Service: Last but not least, attentive service ties everything together – from helpful recommendations on menu choices to how well drinks are topped up – leaving us with a memorable dining experience beyond just the food itself.

Mildreds Soho

⭐ Our Unvarnished Impressions of Mildreds Soho:

Mildreds Soho: the name alone makes me imagine a cozy, yet trendy eatery that serves up some delicious veggie offerings. And let me tell you, my expectations were met and exceeded! From start to finish, my experience at Mildreds was nothing short of amazing. The staff were attentive and accommodating, even going so far as to help me customize my order due to food allergies.

But let’s get down to the real star of the show – the food. My taste buds were in absolute heaven with each bite of every dish I tried. The small plates were perfect for sharing or just trying multiple options (because really, who can only pick two?). And the mains? Don’t even get me started on those Alma Bowls!

What really sets Mildreds apart though is its simplicity mixed with inventiveness. Sure, it’s all vegetarian/vegan fare but it’s not just boring salads and bland tofu – they use spices and flavors in such an innovative way that make their dishes stand out from anything else I’ve tried before.

I could go on raving about Mildreds for ages but honestly? You should just try it for yourself. Trust me when I say one visit won’t be enough – you’ll find yourself wanting to come back again and again for more of their incredible food and welcoming environment filled with flower seeds ready for planting after your meal!

Sagar Vegan & Vegetarian Restaurant – Leicester Square

⭐ A Personal Take on Sagar Vegan & Vegetarian Restaurant – Leicester Square:

Sagar Vegan & Vegetarian Restaurant – Leicester Square, oh how I adore thee! This hidden gem near the theatre district is a must-visit for vegans and vegetarians alike. My family and I come here at least once a month, but with their diverse menu, we wish we could visit weekly. The vegan thali dish is my go-to recommendation as it allows you to try different items on their tasty menu.

When catching a show in town, Sagar has become our ritual dining spot. Their laid-back staff can make your meal quick if time is tight. The paneer dosa and masala dosa were both flavorsome and filling dishes that left us fully satisfied before the performance. For starters, we indulged in savory donuts along with samosas containing cashew nuts; both were marvelous choices accompanied by excellent dipping sauces.

Despite its small size, Sagar maximizes this restaurant’s space better than most places around the area while still keeping reasonable prices for authentic South Indian cuisine. While enjoying exquisite food here do note that there’s an automatic 12.5% service charge levied regardless of whether or not tipping culture exists within British society seems like it may have appealed more to overseas visitors rather than locals or minorities who already acknowledge such practice for extra gratuity instead so kindly bear in mind and remove it if not suitable.

Undoubtedly Sagar Vegan & Vegetarian Restaurant should be included in anyone’s culinary journey actively seeking lip-smacking plant-based food options!

👍 Our Reasons for Recommending:

  • Diverse menu with extensive vegan options
  • Good for pre-theatre dining
  • Reasonably priced authentic South Indian cuisine

Vantra

⭐ Our Genuine Review of Vantra:

Vantra is a hidden gem of vegan cuisine in central London. I stumbled upon it while looking for some healthy pre-theatre food, and boy am I glad that I did! From the moment you walk through the door, you are welcomed by friendly staff who are passionate about their menu. And let me tell you, that menu is absolutely scrumptious. The fusion of Thai, Indian and other Asian flavours make every bite an adventure for your taste buds.

I opted for the Thai raw bowl and was blown away by how fresh and delicious it was. The combination of mango and seaweed noodles was out of this world. And don’t even get me started on their smoothies – they’re heavenly! The cherry’s chocolate milkshake alone makes Vantra worth visiting.

The only downside to my visit was discovering that they no longer do a buffet-style service and have switched to an à la carte menu instead; though honestly once your food arrives you forget all about lineups anyway! Regardless Visiting Vantra is well-worth the investment! A total bill of £88 (outfitting 2) being completely reasonable when considering how satisfied we were with both experience as well as our orders.

Overall, Vantra serves up amazing vegan food in unique flavour fusions with high-quality ingredients tossed into each dish making them unforgettable! Their atmosphere feels welcoming, intimate inside but spacious enough not to feel boxed-in either ! Trust me when I say: if you’re looking for something quick yet healthy before catching a performance on one nearby West End theatres or just need a place to satisfy your cravings throughout day-time look no further than Vantra.

👍 Our Reasons for Recommending:

  • Scrumptious vegan fusion menu
  • Fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Friendly staff and service

Tendril – A (mostly) vegan kitchen

⭐ Our Genuine Review of Tendril – A (mostly) vegan kitchen:

Tendril – A (mostly) vegan kitchen, what an amazing experience! I had heard so much about this place and decided to check it out myself, and I was absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, my partner and I were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. The place is small but cozy with a great ambiance.

The menu offers mostly plant-based options with unique pairings of vegetables that were simply mind-blowing. We opted for their tasting menu and each dish was beautifully presented, balanced in flavour and packed with nutritious goodness. We tried seven courses plus desserts which left us very full but satisfied.

What really stood out for me though was the level of attention they paid to our dietary requirements. We have a no onion or garlic preference but often find it difficult dining out in London; however, Tendril’s customised set menu catered easily for this without compromising on quality or taste.

And let’s not forget about their impeccable service! The welcoming nature of Kate and Albie just added magic to an already fantastic evening.

In summary: if you’re looking for innovative food combined with exceptional service, then Tendril is definitely worth visiting!

MannaLondon Restaurant

⭐ Our Unvarnished Impressions of MannaLondon Restaurant:

MannaLondon Restaurant, where have you been all my life? As a well-travelled vegan foodie, I thought I had already experienced the best of London’s plant-based cuisine. However, this hidden gem nestled in North West 3 has taken me by surprise and won over my heart (and stomach).

From start to finish, my dining experience at Manna was flawless. The atmosphere is chilled yet elegant, and the staff are wonderfully welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. When it came to choosing our dishes from the menu, we were spoilt for choice – everything sounded delicious!

I ended up opting for their famous Sunday Roast with all the trimmings including roasties and Dauphinoise potatoes served alongside sweet carrots, mushy peas topped off with a perfectly seasoned tempeh patty followed by an unforgettable trifle dessert that left me speechless.

But what sets Manna apart from other vegan restaurants is their commitment to sourcing fresh ingredients locally which comes through in each dish’s taste coupled with unique creations like homemade crumble or savory sorbet that complemented very well alongside traditional meals.

We walked past this place while looking for a place to eat in Covent Garden that wasn’t too packed. I love South Indian cuisine so gave it a try. It was just after the theatre rush so we didn’t need a booking. The food was excellent! We had the Manch…

Vegan Yes Shoreditch

⭐ Our Genuine Review of Vegan Yes Shoreditch:

Vegan Yes Shoreditch is a little piece of paradise for every vegan and health-freak around! As soon as you enter this place, Mauro and Min welcome you with their big hearted smiles, telling you about their story behind the venture. The unique menu has all kinds of creative dishes that are centred around healthy gut. It’s phenomenal how they integrate homemade kimchi into most of their dishes, which elevates the taste to another level altogether. I was so impressed by everything on the menu, that I made up my mind to try each item one by one!

The quality and freshness in their food left me awestruck; it felt like every dish was made just for me with love and care. My personal favourites were sushi burger, mushroom gnocchi (to die for), chocolate potato dessert and chocolate mochi – simply heaven!! All ingredients used are super clean without any refined oils or processed sugar.

One major reason why Vegan Yes Shoreditch deserves your visit is because Chef Mauro & Dr.Min have extensive knowledge in cooking & nutrition – they study collectively more than 31 years! This reflects clearly in the exquisite flavours present in each meal they serve. Their wonderful concoctions could easily be part of high-end fine dining restaurants but instead it’s offered at very affordable prices here.

This lovely eatery brings out my inner peace because not only do we get incredible tasting food but also a friendly atmosphere – where else can we find such authentic bliss? Trust me when I say this: if ever there was a perfect place to relax during lunch hour breaks or family outings then Vegan Yes Shoreditch definitely fits the criteria spectacularly well!!

The Gate Islington

⭐ Our Genuine Review of The Gate Islington:

The Gate Islington stole my heart and took my taste buds on a wild, vegan adventure. Upon entering this cozy establishment, I was greeted by the most wonderful smells that had me eager to try every dish in sight. The friendly staff made me feel right at home as they handed us their extensive menu offering an array of intriguing tastes.

I ordered the Aubergine Schnitzel, which is what initially drew me to The Gate. After tasting it for the first time over twenty years ago, I never thought it could get any better – but boy was I wrong! It was like discovering a new love all over again; crispy outside and oh-so-fluffy inside with an unmistakable comfort food flavor heightened by the lemon sauce drizzled on top. My wife’s Katsu Curry tasted heavenly too with its subtle taste that didn’t overpower her meal.

We finished off our fantastic dining experience indulging in some Vegan Carrot Cake. Delightfully spongy with just enough cream cheese frosting melting in your mouth– truly one of the best cakes we’ve ever tasted!

In conclusion, if you’re looking for creative vegan cuisine served up in a beautiful setting with excellent service—the place to be is undoubtedly The Gate Islington!!

Unity Diner

⭐ An Unfiltered Assessment of Unity Diner:

Unity Diner is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious vegan food in London. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. We started our meal with prawn tempura which was simply outstanding. The lobster roll was also a must-try and tasted just like the real thing! But what stole the show for us was their famous tofish and chips – it’s hard to believe that it’s actually non-fish!

The restaurant itself is stylishly designed with comfortable seating arrangements that make you feel right at home. What impressed me most about Unity Diner is its ethos of donating all profits back towards saving animals. It feels great knowing that every bite you take helps contribute towards making a difference in the world.

Lastly, I must mention their vegan cocktails – not only did they have amazing names but they were refreshing and unique in taste, too! Every dish on the menu comes together wonderfully by combining creativity, freshness, originality and flavour!

Overall I would highly recommend visiting this diner – even if you’re not usually fond of vegan food – as everything will definitely exceed your expectations here!
