☝️ How we rated the services below:
When it comes to the best breweries in London, we have carefully assessed a range of criteria to ensure that our selections are top-notch. Each brewery must meet our discerning standards in order to be considered for this exclusive list. Here are the key factors we looked at:
- Quality and variety of beers: We believe that a great brewery should offer a wide range of high-quality beers to cater to different tastes and preferences. From classic styles to unique experimental brews, the selection should impress even the most seasoned beer enthusiasts.
- Brewing expertise and innovation: We value breweries that showcase their brewing skills with passion and creativity. Whether they stick to traditional methods or incorporate innovative techniques, the ability to push boundaries while maintaining exceptional quality is what sets these establishments apart.
- Atmosphere and ambience: A visit to a brewery should be an experience worth savouring. We pay close attention to the atmosphere of each venue, considering factors such as interior design, seating arrangements, music choices (if applicable), and overall vibe. A welcoming and comfortable setting can enhance one’s enjoyment of their favourite pint.
- Knowledgeable staff: The presence of knowledgeable staff is essential when exploring new beers or seeking recommendations based on individual tastes. Friendly experts who display genuine enthusiasm for their craft can greatly enhance your visit by providing insights into brewing processes or suggesting suitable options from their selection.
- Community engagement: Breweries aren’t just about crafting delicious beer; they also play an important role in fostering community connections. We look for breweries that actively engage with their local communities through events, collaborations with other businesses, support for charitable causes, or involvement in sustainability initiatives.
- Accessibility and amenities: While we understand that some hidden gems may not tick every box on this criterion due to limitations beyond their control (historic building constraints or limited space), we favour venues that consider accessibility needs as much as possible. Adequate facilities such as parking options or nearby public transport links are also taken into consideration.
- Public perception and reviews: We aim to present an objective viewpoint, which is why we consider public opinion in our decision-making process. Reviews from fellow beer enthusiasts, locals, and industry experts help us gauge the overall reputation and standing of each brewery within the wider community.

London Beer Factory – Barrel Project
⭐ A Personal Take on London Beer Factory – Barrel Project:
London Beer Factory – Barrel Project is an absolute gem hidden away in the bustling streets of London. From the moment I stepped inside, I could feel the exciting buzz and energy that surrounded this place. The warm welcome from the friendly chaps behind the bar immediately put me at ease, and they were more than happy to help me choose a couple of beers from their impressive selection.
The highlight for my wife was undoubtedly the cherry sour beer she tried. Despite visiting eight different places throughout our day, she declared it as her favorite beer of them all. As for me, I couldn’t get enough of their delicious sour beers – they were tangy, refreshing, and packed with flavor.
Not only does London Beer Factory offer an amazing range of brews, but the atmosphere is also spot-on. There’s a certain vibe here that simply makes you want to sit back and take in your surroundings while sipping on a fantastic pint.
In terms of food options, we opted for their burger deal on Wednesday which was excellent value for money. The burgers were your classic juicy goodness you’d expect from any proper burger joint, but what truly stole our hearts (and taste buds) were their finger-licking chicken wings accompanied by perfectly seasoned salted chips.
What further impressed us was how accommodating and attentive the staff were when we made an ordering mistake (classic tourist move). They kindly rectified it without charging us anything extra or making us feel like idiots.
London Beer Factory – Barrel Project should be on every beer lover’s must-visit list when exploring London. With its constantly changing selection of beers across different volumes available both onsite and for takeaway, you’re guaranteed to find something new each time you visit. Their friendly staff add to the laid-back atmosphere that makes this place so special. Without a doubt, this brewery/bar combination is well worth checking out if you’re after exceptional craft beers paired with delectable food options – trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Brockley Brewery
⭐ Our Genuine Review of Brockley Brewery:
Brockley Brewery, where have you been all my life? This hidden gem tucked away on Harcourt Road in London is a beer lover’s paradise. From the moment I walked through the doors, I could feel the passion and love that goes into crafting each and every brew. The friendly service added to the warm atmosphere, making me feel right at home.
One thing that really impressed me about Brockley Brewery was their commitment to supporting local businesses. Being able to order food from nearby Yard Sale and have it delivered straight to my table was a game changer. Although I must admit, being forced to order from a food truck outside wasn’t always ideal – especially when they didn’t have any vegetarian options available.
But let’s talk about the real star of the show – the beers. With a nice selection of craft brews on offer, there was something for everyone’s taste buds. Personally, I couldn’t get enough of their Winter Ale which had just the right amount of warmth and spice for those chilly Christmas evenings.
There were a few minor downsides, such as slightly higher prices and some improvements needed with lighting ambiance. However, these small shortcomings did not overshadow my overall positive experience at Brockley Brewery.
In conclusion, if you’re seeking out an authentic brewery experience with excellent beer choices and friendly service in South East London then do yourself a favor and pay Brockley Brewery a visit soon! You won’t be disappointed!
